Material Girl

Rain drops on roses?
Whiskers on kittens?
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens?

Really Julie Andrews, I mean REALLY?

I guess she was living in a nunnery at the time so poor ole Maria couldn't have a pillow fight while singing about her AMACCING new clutch purse she found on sale.

It got me thinking if ever comes a time where I have to babysit seven Austrian children (it could happen) What kind of things would I sing about?

I have compiled a materialistic list of my favourite things, it's doesn't rhyme so you have won this time Julie Andrews *shakes fist* No seriously, I love Julie Andrews she actually went to school with my Grandfather (True story)

So here are a few of my favourite things.

1. Red velvet cupcakes.

2. Handbags.

3. Cushions.

4. Tiffany

5. Apple Products.

6. Books.

7. Benedict Cumberbatch.

(Yes, that's us!)

8. Pepsi Max

9. Paris

10. My Swimming Pool

So if by some strange happening I stumbled across Benedict Cumberbatch lounging on some cushions, pool side in Paris, all the while reading a book on his Apple iPad, washing down a red velvet cup cake with a can of Pepsi Max that he places down next to a white ribboned Tiffany's box, I think I would drop my newly purchased handbag and faint.

It could happen.

Who the? What the?

Seriously, how neglectful have I been? A pretty good indication that I am not necessarily taking care of my personal wellbeing, this is after all what Blog My Way was designed for, a welcome refuge.

*sad face*

So in lui of my rather lack lustre commitment I am throwing down the gauntlet! I C.J Duggan will write everyday on BMW for a full year! ... OH NO SHE D'INT!!

Peace of Mind.

What!? Another blog? More space for daily rants...Why?

Why indeed. I have been thinking about 'Blog My Way' for a long time now. So what is 'Blog My Way' about exactly?

It's basically me, still me C.J Duggan but it will be more eclectic a space for thoughts but mostly it will be one space, one place to unload the things on my mind. The good things! It will be about all the things I love in life and sharing with you. Oh dear, I am starting to sound like Oprah.

The aim of this blog isn't to get a huge following (although) if that happens, fantastic! But this is more like a private Oasis for my over crowded mind. How does it differ from my other blog? Well the C.J Duggan blog is directed more towards my novels and writing and marketing my experiences. Not to say that writing will not feature here, writing is my life it is an extension of who I am so it will most definitely feature here too, but it will be amidst all the other loves in my life. Reading, cooking, music, travel, home decor and anything else that strikes my fancy. Sometimes, and for me it's quite often, I will stumble across something beautiful, a picture, a book, a new techy thingy-ma-jiggy. And now I have a place to store it, and who knows you might discover something new in the process?

It will also be a nice space to develop on the rainy days, or the cloudy days when the writing is not coming so easily. I think everyone needs spaces like this in their lives, it's just a matter of thinking about what is good in life, what do I love and then unloading them into a one stop shop if you will.
